New website design services - Case Study

The Client:

Bennett’s Tree Care is a professional tree care service provider in UK. It’s owner Paul was looking for a web designer who can design his company’s website to out run their competitor in terms of professional look and functionality.

The Challenge:

The required website has to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functionally clever to showcase services and product of the company. Fresh challenge was to come up with entirely different look for the website. It has to showcase key attributes of the company in an eloquent way and at the same time should have to present vast amount of information to its visitors. Clear instruction from Paul was to design a website which should be better than their competitors.

The solution:

We stared with establishing the sitemap and writing down the requirements page by page. We also wrote the content for all the pages to optimise it for search engines. Once we had our content ready in word file & images we plan to use, we took content down approach to build the website. On the home page we wanted to have minimum text with key attribute of the company supplemented with clear navigation for visitor to learn more about services, products and get in touch.

Once the home page was ready Paul was very happy with the look and feel. Now the challenge was to design inner pages and gallery. We knew that it is not possible to accommodate large amount of content on colourful background. So we decided to use different layout for rest of the pages. We decided to work on single column CSS layout to present the information effectively. At the same time we added differentiation by using Tree photo on the side and natural graphic at the end of the page.

For the gallery page we used CSS to present key photos in a clear way and let rest of the photos to be displayed on flash based gallery.

Contact form we designed was simple and fast at the same time. It simply first suggest means of communication and also present online form submission based on PHP script. We also included the key contact details on every page in the right side of the header.

The Outcome:

The result was a nice and effective corporate website for Bennett’s tree care which was aesthetically pleasing in terms of look and at the same time effective in presenting the information. Paul was very much pleased with our work and happy to outrun his competitors.
